Tonight we had a family barbeque and I took a few pictures of Kennedy and her cousin Katelyn which is only 9 days younger. They are pretty cute playing together and are already becoming great friends!

Ride'em Cowgirls!
I had the day off from work today so I decided to take the girls to the zoo. I was all excited and when I asked Hailey if she wanted to go she said, "No, it's far away like Disneyland". She said that she'd rather go ride the ponies so off to Thanksgiving Point we went. Although I told her they would be hot, she insisted that she wear her "cowboy boots". I think you can see them in some of the pictures. All in all we had a great time with Aunt Amy and her girlies.

Future American Idol Contestant
This morning's commute to work was just like any other. Everyone is rushing to get in the car and as soon as we pull out of the driveway Hailey immediately asks "Mom, I want music" and to that my typical answer is, "when we get to the freeway, we'll turn on your music" which she then proceeds to ask the same question a dozen more times until we actually get to the freeway. "Her music" consists of the Enchanted soundtrack, Beauty and the Beast soundtrack, any Disney princess songs, Lilo and Stitch soundtrack...you get the picture. We've tried to set a rule that she can only listen to her music while we are on the freeway which ends up being only about 15 of 30 minute drive. If not, listening to "her music" both to and from work just about drives us to drink! We are lucky enough that on occasion she will take a liking to some of the music that Brandon and I enjoy listening to, for example, "Snoop Doggin" (Snoop Dog - only edited of course ;-), "Carrie" (Carrie Underwood), "The Pants Song" (Low by Flo Rida), "The Jesus Song" (no, not a nice church song, she is referring to "Red Dirt Road" by Brooks & Dunn where somewhere in the chorus they sing "it's where I found Jesus") and Fergie to name a few of her favs. So when she does decide that she wants to listen to one of "our" songs, we welcome the break from the typical princess music! This morning Brandon captured this video with his cell phone in the car on our way to drop the girls off at Grandma's house. We laughed so hard listening to her belt out the words to Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry"...and to her credit, she even got most of the words right!

Hailey's Artwork
Hailey has been quite interested in drawing and painting lately which makes me so excited because I LOVED drawing/painting/crafting/etc. when I was little. This post is especially for my mom because I keep telling her that I'll take some pictures of Hailey's artwork and email her but I keep forgetting. So, this is for you Mom! The first picture is a self portrait of her with her dance uniform on outside in the sun. The second picture is one that she drew one morning before work. She was so proud of herself for copying an elephant that was in one of her books. The way she drew the elephant's trunk is my favorite. She even had me spell "elelphant" so she could write it across the top. I think she's going to love preschool this summer!

Spring is FINALLY here!
We've been waiting for a long time (and I hope I don't jinx myself) but Spring is FINALLY here! Granted it snowed last week but that's just the kind of weather we have here in Utah. This past Saturday was such a beautiful day that we couldn't help go outside and enjoy some sunshine. Hailey loves to help Brandon in the yard. Whether it's pushing her bubble lawn mower or shoveling dirt, she loves to be outside with her dad. Saturday morning we did our ritual grocery shopping trip to WalMart and she spotted this cheap plastic wheel barrow that she just HAD to have so she could help Dad in the yard. Here are a few pictures of her putting it to good use. She's quite the little worker although I just wish she'd avoid digging so close to the tulips!
Oh, and honey, the lawn is looking nice and green thanks to you!

Discovery Kids Museum @ the Gateway
Friday we checked out of work and headed up North to the Children’s Museum at the Gateway. Fathers, I would highly suggest that you drop the wife and kids off and head to the SkyBox until they are finished. The girls loved it and there was a lot to see and do. Here are a few shots of the activities.
